‘FALCON JIGSAW’ 1991 – 2001
Many of the young horses we are currently campaigning and breeding are by our stallion Falcon Jigsaw (Jacko), who died not long after we moved to Falcon Park. Jacko was bred by John’s father, and with John began an eventing and showjumping career, winning a Pre Novice event and showing huge talent as a showjumper. Pip began riding him in early 1996 and there is a running joke in the family that she ‘stole’ him from John and turned him into a dressage horse!
Jacko ended his career on 281 points, having won a number of Championships at various levels, including Reserve National Elementary Champion in 1997, Central Coast Advanced Horse of the Year in 1999 and 2000 and Central Coast FEI Champion in 2001. He was a member of the NSW Dressage Squad in 1997.
Our broodmares are chosen because of a combination of breeding, performance and trainability.
SKANSEN CLOUD 9 – (Cloudy) February 1998 – 16.3h bay mare by Jet Set D – Lady Handcrafted (AWHA Elite Studbook).
Cloudy is one of the most beautiful mares you will ever see – In 2005 she was developing a successful dressage career and competing at Medium level when it was discovered that she had a cracked tooth, and there was an abscess in her upper jaw which required major surgery. While she was recovering we decided to put her in foal and so began her new career as a broodmare. She has had four beautiful foals for us. Falcon Lunar – a filly by Welfenadel, Falcon Royale – a colt by Royal Hit, Falcon Disco Hit – a filly by Royal Hit, and a beautiful colt by Fiji R (Florencio) in 2010. Click here for Cloudy’s performance. To see a short video clip of Cloudy in 2005, click here
FALCON LADYHAWKE – (Monday) 16.3h TB bay mare began her career as a hack. However when we bought her we discovered that she had quite a jump and John evented her to Advanced level. He always says that she was one of the most honest horses he has ever ridden. Always tried her heart out. When she was 10 years old we retired her and since then she has had four lovely foals. Viva, by Vivant, Stormboy by Premier Des Hayettes, Finale by Falcon Legacy and Sunday by Abduell II. To see a short video clip of Monday competing at Sydney 3DE 2000 (dressage and sj) and xc at St. Gregs, click here
For many of the horses we have sold, we include a video clip, photographs and performance record.

Pip’s ‘special horse’ is Falcon Andross, a 16.3h chestnut gelding by A’Seduction. Andross is a lovely golden chestnut and a real character.
Most of the horses at Falcon Park have a ‘formal’ name which is used when they compete… but at home they have a ‘stable, or nickname’. Most of our horses were bred here and got their nicknames as foals – usually because of some physical characteristic, or how they behaved. But Andross is different! He came as a yearling and has aways been ‘Andross’ However he has now earned his own unique nickname which is a combination of how he looks, how he behaves and his own particular character…. Most nicknames for our horses are short but not this time! As mentioned he is a lovely golden chestnut, sweet natured, yes! But at the same time sharp, keen with lots of zest and enthusiasm. So meet ‘The Marmalade Express.
2017 – Andross is now competing successfully at Prix St. George and Inter 1 level
To see Andross’s Performance record click here
2017 – Braddock (Jimmy B) has been competing at showjumping and showing some serious talent. He has had some good results and is now competing at 1.20m – 1.35m
HEMISPHERE – Grey gelding. 16h 5 yo
By Salute/Croftley Artisan colt and out of Jalme/Salute mare.
Santa is a gorgeous looking horse, compact but elegant with a beautiful front. He is very talented on the flat, light on his feet and has enormous presence and stylish good looks.
He has been to Central Coast Showjump Club several times and jumped around 80cm. He has also been to Sydney Showjumping Club and the Harris Show last November where he jumped 80cm.
Santa is a naturally brave jumper with an athletic style and a huge amount of scope. He has been over the xc jumps on our property, water, ditches, bank etc and is brave and honest. John feels he would be a very talented eventer given his natural confidence and attitude over fences as well as his talent on the flat.

CELERITY PARK FANTASTIK – Chestnut gelding. 15.3h 4 yo
By Celerity Park Fabulous Lad, and out of Celerity Park Dazzling Star ( Celerity Park Starlight/ Dijon-by Domingo).
Fantastik is a stunning horse. He is extremely athletic and has movement to burn! His jump style is very elastic with enormous scope and talent. He is very brave and takes everything in his stride. He has been over the xc jumps on our property, water, ditches, bank etc and is brave and honest.
He has been to several Central Coast SJ training days and jumped around 80cm and he has also competed at 80cm at SSJC and the Mt. White Show in November where he was equal 1st in the 4-y-o Class.
Frank is very talented on the flat. He is naturally balanced and has beautiful cadence and suspension in the trot. He is well behaved and easy to have around, travels well, lunges, etc. He is used to being stabled and is not high maintenance or clingy in any way.
John feels he would make a super eventer, given that he is so naturally confident and brave over the fences, as well as his talent for dressage , or he would make a serious showjumper for a competitive rider.

2010 Bay gelding,16.3h, 5yo, by Rudolph (by Regardez Moi ) out of Salute mare.
Mr Fahrenheit aka Comet was purchased by us as a 3 year old from his breeders, Blair and Nikki Richardson. Blair broke him in, and turned him out, but thought he was going to be more suited to dressage or showjumping, rather than eventing which is what Blair and Nikki specialize in. We saw him, and thought, Wow! what a lovely horse!!… so we bought him and John jumped him a little at first, but it soon became apparent that dressage was going to be Comet’s forte. Essentially the idea was to train him to a certain level and then sell on, hence he is now on the market.
Comet has been a delight to work with; he is the consummate dressage horse. Beautiful looking with one of those expressive faces full of personality. He has a naturally round shape, lovely cadence in the trot with expressive forearm action.
John reckons he is one of the most trainable horses he has ever ridden on the flat. He tries hard, without getting flustered, and is 100% genuine and honest. Recently WE had a break and Comet had 10 days when he was lunged every 2nd or 3rd day. When we got back home, after Comet’s second ride, John said he could take him to a comp and do a good test! When he has had time off, he is always sensible and safe to get back on.
Comet started competing at Prelim level on 08.3.14, at Dressage NSW, Clarendon, winning his first ever test with 75.2%! During 2014, he did 17 tests at Prelim and Novice level for eleven top 3 placings and all scores but one were over 65% with six scores over 70%! He was Hunter Valley Champs Novice Champion, and Central Coast Champs Novice Champion, as well as CCDA Reserve Champion Novice Horse of the Year.
Comet is perfect to handle in every way. At shows, he happily buries his nose in his hay bag, and doesn’t worry when the other horses come and go….he doesn’t need lunging, isn’t horse shy, and is a genuinely quiet with a solid work ethic.
He is now schooling in all the Elementary work; shoulder in and traver, walk/canter/walk, counter canter etc, and on 29th March won his first Elementary Test at Hunter Valley Dressage Association Competition.
Results: Novice 2.3 – 3rd. 72.7%, Elementary 3.2 – 1st. 68.6%. Not bad for a 5yo!

FALCON PREMIER 5 yo 17h gelding by Premier des Hayettes x Falcon Party

Update… In January 2014 he and his young rider competed at their first showjumping competition together.
FALCON LEGACY – Falcon Jigsaw x Cadina (Contact) 10 year old pinto gelding. 16.1h Legacy is an outstanding showjumper with super technique, quick in the jumpoff and a great attitude. He has jumped clear around 1.30m and 1.40m. He has also competed very successfully up to Elementary level dressage and is quite adept at canter pirouettes and tempi changes!
We felt that Legacy would really suit an ambitious Junior or Young Rider and we are very pleased that he has gone to Marlee Kerford, a young rider in Victoria who has lots of talent and ambition to succeed.
Update 2014. Congratulations to Marlee who has qualified with Legacy to compete at the State Championships to be held at Bendigo on 1st and 2nd March 2014.
17h Brown 5 yo Gelding
Finale is a lovely big horse with the potential to be a really great dressage horse. He is an imposing horse with enormous power and presence. He tries hard, he is forward thinking but calm with a very trainable temperament. Finale has been to jump club and xc schooling several times and shows great aptitude for jumping. He would suit dressage, jumping or eventing and needs a tall rider!
Finale was sold in 2012 to a dressage/jumping home in Victoria and we wish them both success in the future.

FALCON DUELLSON by ABDUELL II
(Dam: Falcon Crystal by Falcon Jigsaw) 16.1h brown gelding. January 2007
This is a very attractive young horse; very elegant with a beautiful head and neck. He has super paces with excellent hindleg action and is quiet and sensible.
2012 – Duellson is now owned by the Hutchinson family and he and his young rider, Anna, shared a birthday recently when Anna turned 14 and Duellson turned 5. Her family think that they are well matched: fearless and ready to have a go at anything! They won their first ribbon together at Berry Riding Club at the end of May for show jumping and Anna is hoping to take him to his first ODE at SIEC.
Anna is ambitious for the future and we are looking forward to watching them progress as they develop their partnership.
FALCON RINGO – 6 yo pinto gelding 15.3h
– Premier Des Hayettes x Strawberry Girl (Falcon Jigsaw)
Ringo is a delightful horse in every way. He has an enthusiastic and honest temperament and is a very quick learner, as well as being super attractive! He has excelled in dressage up to and including Elementary with some great percentages and performances. Ringo also has a super jump and has been very successful already with some good wins and placings. Performance to 2011 here.
At the end of 2011 we sold Ringo (now Marine Park Ringo) to Laura Santry in Victoria and they are in the process of developing a great partnership. This year (2012) at Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, Laura and Ringo won the second round of the Young Jump Horse Championship and were 4th overall. They also won the Best Presented 6 Year Old.
At the end of 2011 we sold Royal Masquerade to the Mackillop family and we have been very pleased to see how well Stephanie and Masquerade have been getting on.
At Maitland at the first HVSJC competition of the year they won the Junior Class and were third in the Young Rider Class.
Since then they have gone on to win and place in some big events including the Snowy Mountains 2012 Showjumping Festival, The NSW Interschool Championships and Canberra Royal.
Casanova will be going to live in New Zealand with his new owners and we wish them every success with him.
Casanova’s dam Skansen Cloud 9 has supermodel looks, extravagant movement and a wonderful generous temperament.

We sold Falcon Viva,(now Merlin Park Viva) a very promising youngster by Vivant out of one of our favourite mares, Falcon Ladyhawke, to Julie Sproull, a young rider in Victoria. Julie and Viva are developing a real partnership and getting some great results.

We think Stormboy has tremendous ability. His flatwork is excellent and he has beautiful rhythm in the trot. Over the jumps he has incredible scope with great technique behind, which is a trademark of the Premier des Heyettes youngsters. He is brave and bold with a good attitude.

‘FALCON FAMILY’ Chestnut gelding 16.1½h – 2000. By Falcon Jigsaw
Family began sj with John in 2005 with good results. In 2006 Pip started riding him in dressage competitons with scores over 70%. At CCDA Dressage in July he won the Novice Championship and in 2006 he was Novice Horse of the Year.
Now in 2011, Family (with the very appropriate stable name of ‘Cooper’) is owned by the Seery family from Moree and competed by their daughter Alicia who is a student at Scots PGC College Warwick in Qld. They have been competing for the last year with considerable success, doing well at the Interschool QLD State Eventing Championships where they ended 3rd on their dressage score. They are now in the QLD Interschool eventing team and aiming to have their first 1* start next year.
A lovely mare with Kassiber, Skyhigh and Sir Tristram bloodlines. She has extravagant paces with beautiful rhythm in the trot. She also has an amazing jump with super technique and a great attitude. She is extremely versatile with wins and placings in eventing, dressage (Elementary level) and showjumping.

Falcon Fernando (Dash) is exceptionally versatile – he began competing at ODE’s and Dressage competitions with considerable success – he led the dressage phase at nearly all his ODE starts. He is also a talented showjumper and this has been his main focus. He competed regularly with excellent results and moved up to B Grade and was then sold to Asia where he continues his showjumping career.

Tiger was sold to an eventing home in the US where is now competing regularly and successfully.

‘FALCON SPLASH’ (By Falcon Jigsaw) is one of our all time favourites.
We bred him and John competed with him very successfully in dressage, eventing and showjumping until he went to the US. Suzanne his first owner in the US competed in eventing and she and Splash did well. Then Boyd Martin took over the ride and rode him at his first Advanced 3*** 3DE start, where he was 11th. To see a slideshow of Boyd and Falcon Splash, click here
Now Splash has a new owner – 16 year old Jacob Fletcher who is a young up and coming eventer from Arkansas. Jacob and Splash have been together now for two over years and have developed a good relationship so we were really pleased to get the latest news from Jacob (20/1/2011) telling us ” I just wanted to let you know that we are loving Splash more and more! We got individual 5th and the team bronze at the NAJYRC this year, and Splash and I made the Pan Am Games Long List! He is truly a remarkable horse!
Congratulations to Jacob Fletcher and Falcon Splash who won the individual silver medal at the 2011 North American Junior Young Rider CCI** Championships.
Jacob and his team also won the Team Silver medal.
Jacob says “I couldn’t be more proud of him! The goal now is to move up to advanced in the upcoming winter season”.
On the right is a pic of Jacob celebrating with his coach, Mike Huber and a pic of Jacob and Splash competing.
Over the years we have bred and sold many horses, but it’s only quite recently with digital and video cameras, that we have been able to have photos and video clips of them taken from the day they are born to their first competition and beyond. It’s great to have that record and any horses we breed and sell now, come with ‘baby pics’ videos and a record of performance.
