Painting of Falcon Jigsaw by Jo Jessen

'FALCON JIGSAW' 1991 - 2001
Many of the young horses we are currently campaigning and breeding are by our stallion Falcon Jigsaw (Jacko), who died not long after we moved to Falcon Park. Jacko was bred by John’s father, and with John began an eventing and showjumping career, winning a Pre Novice event and showing huge talent as a showjumper.Pip began riding him in early 1996 and there is a running joke in the family that she ‘stole’ him from John and turned him into a dressage horse!
Jacko ended his career on 281 points, having won a number of Championships at various levels, including Reserve National Elementary Champion in 1997, Central Coast Advanced Horse of the Year in 1999 and 2000 and Central Coast FEI Champion in 2001. He was a member of the NSW Dressage Squad in 1997.

At present there are over 30 horses which we have bred and/or trained, competing successfully in different parts of the world. At present here at Falcon Park we have eighteen young horses, some currently being campaigned and some in training. Most of these horses were bred by us and are by our own stallions or by successful stallions in Australia and overseas.

2005/2006 FOALS

'BOUNCE'
Brown gelding - December 2005 by Copabella Visage x Party (by Falcon Jigsaw x Cadina)
'JIMMY BRADDOCK'
Brown gelding - December 2005
by Falcon Legacy (Falcon Jigsaw) x Gabrielle.
RINGO'
Pinto colt - October 2005 by Premier des Hayattes
x Strawberry Girl' (Falcon Jigsaw)

Bounce, Jimmy B and Ringo are all 'stable' names, given pretty much at birth. Bounce, because that's what he did. Jimmy B because we had just seen Cinderella Man and the new foal reminded us of JB - see 2nd pic on banner below! Ringo named by John's niece who is a Beatles fan! Eventually all three will be named 'Falcon ....' for more formal occasions when they start to compete.

They were all broken in in 2009 and spent three months getting used to stable routine and being ridden regularly. They all travel well in the truck, are used to being handled, and shod. They were then turned out and are now starting the second stage of their training.

Jimmy B has taken everything in his stride. He is quiet to handle, calm and willing. Ringo is a very stylish looking colt from excellent jumping lines - which we hope he will continue. Bounce is showing very scopey paces and has great presence. He is going to grow into a lovely horse, and hopefully inherit jumping talent from both his Sire and his Dam's lines.
