Southern Son competed in the qualifier for the Futurity (1.35m)
A very tough course and he did well but had one down.
Morriset Show - Friday 21st January
After a break over the Christmas period Southern Son competed at Morriset Show.
He competed in the  D Grade 1.10m for 4th place and the 1.2m  4th
where he got to the final but had one down

John fractured a rib and was unable to ride or compete for two weeks
Hawkesbury Show - May 14th-15th
14th - May.  Southern Son - 1.10m  Open Class (over 60 entries)    4th
15th  May. -  Southern Son competed in the 1.25m  Power and  Speed Class.  
He went clear but had one rail down in the final.
Southern Son also competed in the Open C & D Class.   He went clear and
was doing well in the final when the harness racing started.   He was 
approaching the last fence when he saw the first hoses race past.
He lost concentration, 'big time!' and this is something we will have to work on J
Hopefully next time he is jumping and  the harness racing takes place  
on the track outside the jumping arena, he will handle it better.
