ANZAC DAY Showjumping/Derby Clinic.
John will be doing group lessons starting at 9am with 60cm - 80cm and working his way up to a 1.10m 1.20m group ( we haven't worked out the exact format, but we will!)
We have some XC fences which John will blend in with a showjumping course, so great experience for horses and riders in a fun environment.
Lessons are $90pp and we'll be having a sausage sizzle and a coldie at lunchtime ( $10 for lunch)

2nd April; Alexander Park Dressage.
This was the club's 25th Anniversary competition, but unfortunately was a bleek and wet day. Pip rode Andross in the Prix St George, and it poured, so Andross spent most of the test worrying about the judges windscreen wipers! so 3rd in that one.
He did however redeem himself in the Inter 1 (no rain!) with a cracking test and a strong win!

1st March; Upper Hunter Show.
Zara (pictured) was 3rd in the 1.20m, and 2nd in the 1.10m.
Falcon Braddock was great, ending up 2nd in the 1.20m and the Grand Prix.
Another Sunny Day was 3rd in the 1.05m .

12th March ; HVSJ Champs /Day 2.
Zara was Champion 1.05m ,winning a beautiful woollen rug; she is jumping really well and we are all so proud of her!
Falcon Braddock, was 3rd in the Grand Prix and getting fitter after a little break.
Colin was very clever winning the 65cm class today....it was a big weekend for Colin!
The HVSJ committee did a great job running this show;3 big days,great courses and super sponsors 🙂

11th March; Hunter Valley SJ Champs.
A great comp for John with Falcon Braddock winning the 1.20m and 3rd in the 1.30m, and Falcon Zara coming 3rd in 1.05m and 2nd in the 1.15m. Colin, a lovely young horse by Higgins owned by Tim Boland ,was 3rd in the 65cm class, not bad for a newbie!
Another Sunny Day just had a rail in his class but jumped super well.

3rd March; Newcastle Show. This was a WET show and it wasn't easy to keep the work up to the horses during the lead up. The team jumped quite well, with Falcon Braddock running 3rd in the 1.10m, but Zara a little unfit and struggling in the heavy going.
Without question, the star of the show was 'Another Sunny day' aka Rusty, owned by Karin Perkins who jumped around in the mud to WIN the 1.05m! Fantastic effort from an honest and brave little guy...
